Family Super Saturday

After all the fun soccer and doughnuts... we decided to have a fun family day! It took awhile to get it started but once we got rolling...WOW! Taco bell for lunch-whatever! But then... we each got to stick our feet in strange shoes that had to be sprayed by antifungal spray before hand! Then we picked up the appropriate size ball for each of us and stuck our fingers into the wholes praying there wasn't any leftover items from the previous person who had their fingers in the same holes! Yes, you guessed it, we went BOWLING! Hilarious! We had a blast! The kids killed us parents ( I think Mac actually won!). Then off to Red Robin for an early dinner ( the older kids had musical practice) (btw- Taylor got picked to sing a special number! Go Tay!). Afterwards Melissa and I took the young ones to Central High to watch her nephew play in a championship game for pee wee football! A bad call destroyed their hopes of winning though! Riding home on the street bike was interesting ( we rode the bike and the kids rode with the Jaekels in the suburban).
So after along weekend of fun, we are relaxing enjoying our kids!

Side note

Date nights are getting alot more interesting! We have enjoyed spending quality time together and with a group of friends who have added lots of laughs to our lives! This week it was the Hammons, the Phoenix's, and the Madsen's! What a great time! Dinner at Penera bread, sitting outside on the patio, enjoying great convo, and images of Kristi taking a large straw into her mouth! Wow! We then raided the candy store to stock up before the 007 flick! Great movie! (Melissa and I actually fell asleep!) But it was great to spend time with friends!

The weekend

Another Saturday of soccer! But this one was all "W's"! We had to fight the beautiful 75 degree weather all day. It started at 8 with Mac's game! 5 minutes into the game Mac scored his first goal ever! What a shot! He swept it in from the left corner, looked like a pro! They won 5 to 1! Reagans team won their third straight and she played hard! She has become such a little soccer player! And Emily, how do I describe her game? Her and 10 other little girls destroyed us parents in a parent/daughter scrimmage! Humiliating! I hurt still! Melissa ran around like a teeeny bopper making us old folk look older! We still lost! But it was a Blast! Well worth the pain!

Catching up

Ok, I went out with my blogging "mentor" Saturday night and she reamed me for not posting an entry for over a week! Well ,here goes a MAJOR catch up! We didn't move to Mexico, but it may happen in the future!
Monday and Tuesday, while I worked!, the rest of the world had playtime! Melissa decided that it would be fun to take 9 kids to the beach for the day! I will let her describe the fun they had in her own words!
"Actually it was 11 kids not just the famous 9! But it was a great trip full of games in the car, playing on the beach, mud fights, shopping at the surf stores and watching the teen boys ride the whopping waves! TOOOO FUN!!!! Everyone loved being on the beach and having fun together!!! Never a dull moment of which I loved being part of the whole day! We did miss Darren sharing the sun, sand and fun with us!!!" Melissa
And the entire time I was pulling teeth dreaming of being in the sun with my family!

Obama Wins

Ola! Como Estas! No! Jes keeding! We will stay put for awhile and see what happens. My kids say they dont want to move to Mexico anyway because they say the eggs and the water is poisonness! Haha!
The good news is Prop 8 passed! Yea! Lets see how long it takes the Supreme court to over turn it this time! Take a look at the Picture of the United States that depicts how America voted ( the red and blue one). It looks just like the map that depicted the division between the North and South during the Civil War! Interesting. Anyway, nuf said. He is our President and I support him. Have a Great Wednesday!

Black Tuesday

Let me tell you why this Election is a lose/lose situation. I'm voting for McCain because he is a republican. I'm a republican. Make since? Not to someone who is voting for Obama! If you vote for the republican candidate in this election, then you are casting a "race vote". It makes me sick to hear over and over again that you are a racist if you are not voting for Obama! Shut up and cast your vote! Live with the outcome! But get off my back because I choose to be Republican! Same thing for Prop. 8! If you are voting Yes on prop 8 then you must be a Bigot! Right? Thats what the "no" voters think! It cant be because we believe what it says right there in the pages of the Bible in black and white, that marriage is between a man and a woman, cna it? NO! its because I dont like Gays! Whatever! The only thing that I hate is IGNORANCE and INTOLERANCE! You are just as much a racist and a bigot if you tell me I am voting for those reasons! Sorry but this election will go down as the the biggest lose/ lose ever! Nobody wins!

Other than that I am doing GREAT this Tuesday! Kids are healthy, I'm busy and there is a roof over our heads- FOR NOW! Depending on the outcome of this election my kids and I maybe learning SPANISH!

Soccer Saturdays

Another saturday of soccer! I avoided this sport for years, didn't know anything about it, and now I am the "The soccer dad"! I love it! Reagan got her first "W" yesterday! Woo hoo! She and her brother and older sister are really liking this soccer thing. And as long as it doesn't rain on me, i think I like it too! Mac's team didn't fair too well, but the coach said he was the only one who continued to play hard throughout the game despite the score! I think he is becoming Mr. competitive like his dad! Great! Emily had a very exciting game! They came back in the second half to tie it up just before the end! She is so deliberate and methodical in every move she makes. I hope she continues to play next year, she could really be good!
After a day of fun with the kids it was my time to relax! We went out to dinner with the Madsens and the Hammons. On the way we had to dodge all of the Prop. 8 people lining the roadway! I love the support! Go pro 8ers! After dinner, Melissa and I and the Hammons took in the flick FIREPROOF! Not the best acting, but I have to admit it touched me! And thats not easy to do! Haha! Great movie for the family. Perfect timing as well!
Well thats it for now! Sunday fun at the Bogles (actually nap time)!
